Parish Website
Our parish website www.stjosephslanc.com provides information to parishioners and others about our parish, its history and programs as well as current minister schedules and the parish Sunday bulletin.
Planning Committee
The Planning Committee works
to refine parish goals, objectives and strategies by developing a parish plan for advancing the mission of Christ.
Pro-Life Committee
The Pro-Life Committee promotes pro-life awareness within the parish. Activities include the pro-life prayer calendar in the Adoration Chapel, coordination of special ceremonies on Pro-Life Sunday, and collections for various pro-life organizations. Collections of baby items are held several times a year to benefit "A Woman's Concern." The Social Justice/Pro-Life Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month.
RCIA
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process of prayer,
instruction, sharing, and discernment that prepares adults to become
fully initiated into the faith community of the Catholic Church.
Monthly inquiry sessions are held during spring and summer months, and
weekly sessions are held Monday evenings, September through May. During
these sessions we lay a foundation and explain our teachings.
Volunteers are needed to teach, lead prayer and song, and provide
refreshments and child care. Those who provide child care must have current child clearances as required by the Diocese of Harrisburg.
RCIA Adapted for Children
This is the children's version of RCIA. It is for children seven
through fourteen years of age who have not been baptized or who have
been baptized and not catechized. It is held the same evenings as RCIA.
Rectory Volunteers
These volunteers are needed at the rectory on Saturday mornings, during
Sunday Mass, and weekday evenings Monday through Thursday from 6:00 to
8:00 P.M. to answer the phone and the door and help with other
projects.
Scrip Program: This is an extension of the grocery gift card program. Gift cards are available for clothing stores, restaurants, gas stations, movie theaters, etc. The parish purchases the certificates at a discount and resells them at full face value. It costs you nothing additional, but benefits the parish. Information packets are available in the pamphlet rack and at the table where the grocery gift cards are sold.
