Family Fun Club is a group designed for the children of the parish and their parents to get to know one another. Activities organized for social and fun experiences. Years ago the children of the parish attended Catholic school together; today our children attend different schools in different areas of the county. The purpose of our club is that our young parishioners grow together since someday they will be the leaders of our parish and continue the efforts within our church and the community .
Focus on Faith Group is a discussion group about matters of our Catholic faith. The group meets weekly on Sunday mornings from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in Tipitina’s.
Food Certificate Program
Gift certificates from Weis Markets, Giant, Darrenkamp's, and John Herr's are available for
sale before or after weekend masses in the
vestibule of the church. They are also available at the Abbey Book Store (397-4300).
Certificate sales return 5% to St. Joseph's.
Golden Hills Club
A senior citizen group meets in the Parish Hall at 12 noon
on the second Thursday of each month. Watch the bulletin for further
information.
Good Shepherd Association Men’s Group: This group provides an opportunity for the spiritual formation of the men of the parish in a fellowship-building environment. The group meets the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
Greeters at Mass welcome parishioners and visitors to weekend Masses and for special occasions.
Hospitality Committee/Public Relations
This committee is responsible for providing refreshments and serving as hosts/hostesses at parish socials when requested by various parish groups.
Knights of Columbus
Council meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 1575 New Danville
Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603.
Lectors
This ministry is for those who are interested in becoming involved in the Ministry of the Word
by proclaiming the scriptures at Mass and other services.
Legion of Mary
These are men and women who have a special devotion to Mary. They meet
once a week and go out among the parish making calls for sympathy,
convalescence, new babies, new parishioners, and inactive Catholics.
They also take the parish census.
Liturgy Committee
This group is responsible for planning and preparing many aspects of each liturgy.
